Panasonic Rice Cookers: Advantages and Disadvantages

by Anthony Cruz

I am a huge fan of Panasonic 3.3 cup rice cooker. It is solid, has a good value, and many reviewers highly recommend it. I am so into its innovative and convenient design and other useful features.

In fact, Panasonic rice cookers generally get positive reviews from consumers. A friend has just got one and she instantly fell in love with it. Below are what some online reviewers say (good and bad) about rice cookers by Panasonic.

The Panasonic rice cooker line offers many model, and it is impossible to list them all here due to space constraints. So I only picked 5 models and listed them in this article.

SR-NA18 Rice Cooker by Panasonic

From Agatha, 41, teacher: I bought this rice cooker because of the great reviews. Yes, it is a great device. I particularly love the automatic adjustments, which help me make the perfect rice.

This rice cooker is dishwasher-friendly, with its removable inner lid and some self-cleaning features. It just pleases me to see it go well with the countertop.

But not all things are perfect. Try to put a cauliflower head in this rice cooker and you will be disappointed. The steamer tray is also not deep enough.

SR-G18FG Rice Cooker

From Kelly, 34, entrepreneur: I had no problem with this rice cooker three months after I bought it. I was thinking it was the perfect one. And then the water began to splatter like crazy.

The rice boils several times when I try to cook in this thing. It makes a big mess on my counter. Worse, I often make poor rice.

I hate dry rice. The spill over really kills me. I have followed all troubleshooting suggestions, to no avail.

SR-NA10 Rice Cooker by Panasonic

From Mark, 29, manager: I am very pleased with the performance of this cooker. My wife and I are very meticulous about rice. And our rice cooker is doing a very good job.

It cooks white and brown rice beautifully. It also cleans up easily. A great feature is the LCD display that shows the remaining cooking time.

I am so loving it. This is the best rice cooker.

Panasonic SR-G10G 5-Cup Rice Cooker

From Leslie, 55, government employee: The 5-cup size is ideal for 2-4 persons. The online reviews are true. It cooks rice perfectly.

I love the way our rice turns out. Adjusting the amount of water depending on the kind of rice will help. The rice cooker also has some dishwasher-friendly features.

But there are some minor flaws. I do not like the shallow lid of the pot and the shabby handles of the rice cooker. It gives a great value, though.

Panasonic SR-3NA

From Gina, 30, Masters student: My mother gave me this cooker as a gift. It is the right size for single people. Not only is it cute, but it also cooks the rice that I want.

I highly recommend this rice cooker for those who are watching their diet. This mini rice cooker perfectly fits well on my counter.

I have been cooking with it almost daily for about two months now and this cooker (like other Panasonic rice cookers) is the bomb. I have yet to encounter a problem with this rice cooker.
