Personalized Wedding Favors

by Matt Hellstrom

Why choose personalized wedding favors instead of plain, standard ones? Wedding favors are a direct reflection of the bride and groom style and taste. The couple can try to opt for little mementos to make their beautiful day more cherished to the guests and nothing says special more than something inscribed with the couple's special information.

The personalization project to be undertaken by the couples should be fun and creative. The wedding favor personalization options for the grooms and brides-to-be are endless. Start by taking a look at the conventional favors available on the market and then work from there as to brainstorm how you can make the favors your own as a couple. Sweets, glasses, vases and coaster are great personalized favors. It's also great exercise for the bride and groom-to-be to work together on the favors.

Be inspired by things you have in common as a couple for example movies, sport, music or travel destinations. Call in family to make the personalization project a team effort if you are stuck for ideas. Any assistance from advice to workmanship can be of great help not to mention money saving.

Although personalization can cost more than standard favors, with a bit of shopping around on all items including the printing, sand blasting, etc. and your own craftsmanship you can save substantially. It would just be plain impractical to spend the whole wedding budget on favors, so spend wisely.

Don't get hung up on what's traditional or proper. Try and make the favors yourself. Don't under estimate your creativity or that of your partner. He or she may even surprise you with fantastic ideas. This is in fact a wonderful way to add a genuine, personal touch to your wedding favors that your guests will truly appreciate.

The recommended investment would be in unisex favors but male and female separated favors also add that little something making guests feel special and pampered in their gender unique way. A female guest may love pink candy attached to mini pink champagne, whereas a male guest would probably be happier with a business card case.

Just about every wedding will have a special or honored guests in attendance. Why not give these special guests their own favors? Guests of honor can be siblings, in-laws and family that traveled far to attend the event. These guests surely put more effort into attending or assisting with the wedding so spending more on their favors is justified. Higher quality and expensive items can be personalized such as glasses or wine for them. A handwriting note also shows that little more thanks and appreciation for the special guest.
