Why Playing Online Games Is So Addictive

I've been on a downward spiral since the time I have disregarded all MMORPG games. They used to be so funny, but so addictive, so restricting access to them was the only way to avoid spending so much time in front of a computer.

How World of Warcraft managed to attract so many players, be it on the network or single gamers, it's not such a mystery. We all dream of strategy and of conquering the world some day. As very few of us actually ever manage to rule the world, we try our power in the online domination.

I'm not knocking World of Warcraft entirely, I see the entertaining and educational value of this game. However, if you fail at it, you may want to try sudoku instead. I'm rather educated on sudoku puzzles, but I can't guarantee your success. Sudoku requires a lot of thinking and a good focus.

For someone like me, it is obvious that I would not try to do the same old things again and again. New challenges are key to happiness. However, one should be very careful, as online games, especially free ones can become addictive very quickly.

Buying gold in the games can allow you to build a very powerful character. All leagues of players have their own leveling guides which can help you advance. However, such guides are not free, so you need money to buy them. Sudoku is totally free, so there's an advantage, if you are broke. There are two sides to every question.

Lots of people find online games quite useful. If you have a boring job, you can use your spare time to play online games. But you have to make sure that playing complies with the rules of your workplace. There's no point in endangering your job position for some games you can as well play in your free time, at home.

When you have a huge compilation of free games, the best thing is to get organized and have a catalog for all those titles, in case you want to find them easier. Sharing games with friends is as addictive as playing them.
